Facts About the Book!!! February 2, 2002 Gavin Rowe (New York) 100 out of 101 found this review helpful
The Michael Jackson: The Visual Documentary is the most comprehensive book ever published on the King of Pop. Michael Jackson himself has recommended this book - mentioning it in the sleeve notes of his HIStory - Past, Present and Future Book 1 album. Covering from the birth of Michael Jackson upon to the present day, the book provides a complete record of Michael Jackson's moves, grooves, music, albums, family, history, and more. Illustrated with hundreds of photographs, the book also details Jackson's records, concerts, videos, awards, interviews, quotes, public appearances, his family, fascinating memorabilia and details of rare Michael Jackson records, and much more. From Steeltown to Motown, from the Jackson 5 to his solo career, from The Wiz to Thriller, he's been Bad, Smooth and Dangerous and even Blood On The Dance Floor. He's made captivating videos, with exciting dance moves, played spectacular concerts and filled the world's largest arenas across the world. He has been performing since the age of five, breaking records since he was 11 and a star without equal since 21. He has been such a great influence on music history over the past 30 years and with this book, you can be part of his journey from birth to present (full with dated details). Though never far from the media spotlight, Michael Jackson remains an enigma. The Michael Jackson: The Visual Documentary presents all the facts about Michael as never before -- everything you need to know about world's most famous celebrity is in this one book. The book contains over 200 pages, over 280 photos, promo pictures, rare pictures, complete discography, singles information, family tree information, and much more. One of the best MJ books ever August 14, 2009 GM (Solon, Ohio) 32 out of 32 found this review helpful
I just received my book in the mail and it is alot better than I expected. It is not another biography novel about MJ at all. It's more like a fun, illustrated Michael Jackson encyclopedia. There are tons of pictures in the book including pictures of him, his videos, magazine covers, and more. Most, if not all, the pages have photos on them with a caption to tell what the photo is. The book starts in 1968 (when he entered the music industry) up until 2009. The book timelines his entire life of significant dates year to year. The book is truly amazing and I recommend it for anybody. Michael suggested the "Visual Documentary" books himself in his "HiStory" sleeve. It's the perfect addition in any collection.

This is the book that all Michael Jackson fans must have. This is a beautiful documentary book with the facts only. No tabloid gargage about his personal life, but everything from his early years to his sad, untimely end. Michael Jackson was and is a legend. I love Michael Jackson and I miss him. He will never be forgotten. His music and legacy will live on through me. He will always, always forever be the King of Pop and the world's greatest enterainer and humanitarian.

I got this Book a few Years back&truly dug how Adrian Grant went into Detail on MJ's Music. He mentioned when tracks were done&also mentioned side tidbits that were cool as well.very good comprehensive overview on one of the Greatest Music Artists Ever.He mentioned this song called "Buffalo Bill" that Michael Jackson had done&I was like I wish I could have heard it? that was cool of Him to drop Songs&things.alot of folks don't know how detailed MJ is in the studio or the fact He records so much.
True Authorized Tribute to the King of POP September 7, 2009 TheTeresa1 (North Carolina) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I LOVE THIS BOOK. I received it in the mail the other day and just could not put it down. This is what you call a "Coffee Table" book. Meaning, you want everyone to know you have read it and you want to leave it on the table for others to pick up and enjoy. Just tell them, they can't take it with them, it must stay where they found it, on the coffee table. There are 280 pages and the book has lots of black & white photos and color photos. There is a lot of information that I didn't know and I have been a Michael Jackson Fan for over 25 years. The book does start from when Michael was born August 29, 1958 and goes all the way to July 7, 2009, the Memorial at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. There are photos, interviews, Concert listings, letters from President Reagan and the blog from Lisa Marie Presley. There are dates like (March 20, 1988), this is through the whole book. Nothing is left out. Adrian Grant did good on this one. He even did the HIStory Book, I have that one too. Go get yours today. Your coffee table is waiting.
