Worth It for the Cover Alone September 25, 2009 Dot.coN 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
This calendar is more of a poster book than a functional calendar in that the layout for the actual calendar portion for each month is more or less just a list of the dates and days. In other words, this is not the kind of calendar one buys on which to make notes or track one's schedule. That said, it's a WONDERFUL collection of large photographs of Michael Jackson throughout his career in a ready-to-display format with the added benefit of a calendar for handy reference. So, rather than a functional calendar with some nice pictures, it's a piece of art that just happens to have the days of the month running along the bottom of each page in case you need them which, in my opinion, is much more fun! :o)
A calendar is a calendar is a calendar... November 18, 2009 belletoujours (USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
....Or, is it? I bought this calendar about 2 weeks ago with the intention of allowing it to ring in the new 2010 year. No way! I ripped the wrapper and peeked in!
This 16-month calendar in color is splendid! My marvel? Its 12 wonderfully huge and beautiful photos of Michael in varying attractive poses! The photos are suitable for framing, if such suits you...may need to clip away a small portion for perfect fit. True, perhaps nothing is new in terms of other MJ calendars...except the new year 2010, that is. But, this one is my first, so I have no idea what I've missed in previous MJ calendars. I'm counting my blessings (lol).
Four months of 2009, September through December, have been included on this calendar... with days/weeks "uncharted" and "single-lined" on the first page...an interesting layout, in my opinion. Yes, a grand photo of Michael is included on this single 2009 page.
January through December exhibit charted/boxed days, very graphically distinct and readable from a sensible distance. With the exception of 1 or 2 photos, the calendar is in color.
January's month shows, in b/w, a young afro-ed Michael looking somewhat pensive, and donning a jaunty suede cap. The ending December photo is Michael as shown on the front cover...not in red but `natural' color tones. The back cover includes the January Michael with one of his quotes....."Who wants mortality? Everybody wants immortality."...... "I give my all to my work because I want it to just live and just give all that I have."
A beautiful piece of Michael Jackson History. Is this calendar not a `speck' of Michael's immortality?
I highly recommend this keepsake item......12 `looks' at Michael Jackson throughout the 2010 year.
Worth your hard earned money! It was worth mine!!!

I am so pleased with this beautiful calendar with well known and some not so well known shots of MJ. It will be wonderful to go through all of 2010 looking at this beautiful man.
I am extremely happy with it and the plus is that I get to use it now because it has the last few months of 2009 included with a gorgeous photo of MJ looking almost angelic.
Thanks Amazon!

Some of Michael's best photos are captured here! From the cute kid that amazed us all who saw the beginning to the incredible, "only comes once in a lifetime" megastar he became. What a way to celebrate his life and 2010! A must have for the true fans!!
