Product Description As fans of entertainers our voice is often overlooked. We are passed of as simple fans who really don't know to much. The media, with all their experts, reports, opinions, and speculations are often times not the truth. For the first time the fans of Michael Jackson will speak out. False reports and rumors are exposed in this book and the Author provides in depth look at the media theories and speculations. The fans finally have a book that expresses what they know to be the truth about The Icon of Music Michael Jackson. The Author takes you through Michael Jackson life from the viewpoint of a fan. Backed by intense research and interview from noted film-maker and defense witness for Michael Jackson Larry. Nimmer who also wrote this about the book. "You've done excellent research and there were some things that I learned that I didn't know. It was interesting what you had to say about the accusers and about his dad, Joe Jackson. I liked your comparison that Americans will sleep with animals in their bed but they are not accused of bestiality . . . good comparison . . . You've presented a convincing story about people who fabricated stories for personal gain, including the media, at the expense of Michael Jackson . . . great job and very interesting." Larry Nimmer

Educational and Eye-opening January 2, 2010 Nagla (Cairo, Egypt) 29 out of 30 found this review helpful
When I ordered this book, I was just looking for something to provide some comfort. Being a Michael Jackson fan for a quarter of a century, I've had enough cruelty to deal with. I just could not bear it any longer after his passing. It is enough that I had tortured myself by watching Fox News' coverage of his death. So, I said I just want to read something to help me with my pain, which was driving me crazy. A friend recommended Shawn's book, and I immediately ordered it.
Frankly, I wasn't expecting what this book gave me. At moments, I had to put it down to grasp the idea that what I was experiencing was real. This is one of the most sincerely written books I've ever read in my whole life. And, believe me, I've read A LOT!
The author begins his book by lowering the ceiling of his readers' expectations. He makes it clear that he has never met Michael, that his book does not contain accounts from celebs or people who had known MJ during his life, and admits that his search depended on sources that are available to everybody. He does not claim anything to credit himself in creating this book. He only depended on common sense and relating FACTS in reaching what the media has been working so hard to blind us from seeing.
What then does this book have to offer? Well, I'd say this book is educational from cover to cover. Whether you've been a die hard MJ fan like me for most of your life, or you're a visitor from Mars who has never heard of MJ before, you can still learn from this book.
The message is simple.. If you truly believe that God has created you with a brain, USE IT, and you'll find truth right there in front of your eyes. Don't just sit there waiting for others to feed you whatever trash they've got, trying to market it using whatever spices their kitchen has got. The book rings the alarm that modern culture is lacking common sense. We're always searching for excitement at the expense of what is true and what is vital. The author does not put it this way, but his message is clear.
The book is so plain, simple, straightforward, honest, and packed with love. Not only does the author share his love of an idol of our times, but his concern for all of us turning into puppets in a media-fabricated world, swayed to whichever direction they wish to lead us to.
I give it a five although indeed there are many typos and the printing quality is not the best, but this is a self-published book. It is clear that it was done in a hurry to reach the fans at a time when they really needed it. In my opinion, this should be rather appreciated. I wish to see a second revised edition, though. And whether you agree or disagree with the conclusions and opinions expressed in it, you can't help but respect its message and its sincerity.

This book should be on the shelves. Sad it has to be ordered. Once again the truth is being hidden and hard to find. Positive, truthful, supportive. If you are
sick of the trash and bashing of MJ this is a book to get.
Thank you Shawn May 13, 2010 Kathryn Grencevicz (Oak Lawn, IL - USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Shawn, thank you for being a loyal fan to Michael and writing the truth. The media has made a mockery of Michael's true legacy and image. He gave so much to us, and he was repaid by the media and his accusers with terrible scandal which ruined his life. We, as fans, love to read the good in him, not the bad which is always out there from the media. Great reading for every MJ fan!
Deserves 5 Stars March 20, 2010 John Cina 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I read this book and first I have to say that I really like the cover for the book. Beautiful portrait and perfect selection for this book. A few reviews on here have rated this book one star and discuss grammar errors, and I have to wonder are these people teachers or something because they are missing a very potent message that the writer is sending. For so long we hear so many rumors about Michael Jackson, and we listen to all the speculations and theories of other people who would tear Michael down. Those who expend time destroying Michael, I have to doubt whether they knew Michael Jackson at all because they have neglected to speak of the things that made Michael, Who he was. His love, and generosity for others his continuous pledge to improving our world is who Michael was. This author points out something's that have been avoided in the media, and really pleads to our heart and senses and implores us to use common sense. It is ironic to me that some fans beg for justice for MJ yet will leave a one star critique for a book that is clearly showing the positive side of MJ and pointing out the corruption of the media.
Books are written to deliver a message or provide a story and this one lives up to that and brings forth a powerful message. I took pleasure in reading this book, and it is a great addition to any MJ library. Most of the substance of this book are things I did know but my question is does the rest of the world know what all us MJ Fans know? Great book made with love and that is the essence of MJ.

Too much was was unauthorized................Reaseach and find out the real M Jackson-I feel as if the media has taken a soul and have attempted to destroy the last essence of the man...............I never did nor will ever beleive the molestion charges---------------Everyone walked away when he couldn't make money for them-------------In my heart he was all about good and we ate him up. Wake up people-and I am not making this review from stictly one book or film........it just seemed this to be the closest. His very public eye and reporters destroyed a good person. They will have to answer when judgement really comes..........Keep kicking all those who glean money for their "knowledge"
